Elk Grove Village has 14 grammar schools and one high school within city limits. They are located within two public school districts: School District 54 and Community Consolidated School District 59.
Residents west of Route 53 attend Elk Grove High School, part of Township High School 214, located in the village itself. Elk Grove High is a U. S. Department of Education- honored No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon High School. U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek magazines have also noted it as one of America's best high schools.
Those living west of Route 53/I-290 attend Conant High School in Township High School District 211, located in nearby Hoffman Estates. Conant is also a Blue Ribbon school. It has received accolades from the nonprofit College Board as having the highest percentage of Advanced Placement exam-passing students in the region.
Elk Grove Village's sole private school is Queen of the Rosary Catholic School. Queen of the Rosary was honored by Chicago Magazine as one of the region's top private schools.
